The nose is aromatic, relatively elegant and slightly powerful. It reveals notes of blackberries, fresh strawberry and slight notes of undergrowth, clove associated to slight touch of iodine minerality as well as hints of Sichuan pepper and dark chocolate. The wine needs to be decanted (carafe). The palate is elegant, a bit juicy, slightly gourmand and offers a nice acid frame on red berries, finesse, dynamism as well as a slight tension. In the mouth it expresses notes of juicy Gariguette strawberry, cherry and slight notes of cassis, blackberry associated to a slight hint of redcurrant as well as a slight touch of sweet spices, clove, chocolate and a discreet hint of toasted oak. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length.
