The nose is elegant and reveals concentration, good definition, some depth and complexity. There are notes of boysenberry, blueberry and slightly fresh strawberry combined with hints of fresh/pulpey blackcurrant, fine peony notes and a discreet hint of star anise and bourbon vanilla. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, acidity, freshness, good definition, fine tension and finesse. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, fresh blackcurrant and more lightly violet notes combined with hints of lily, lilac as well as fine points of nutmeg, cardamom and a subtle hint of fresh almond. Good length. A fine touch of liquorice in the background.
