Château l’Evangile 2024 – Pomerol

The nose is elegant, with notes of strawberry and an airy and floral side, offering good definition and energy. It reveals fruity notes of cornflower and more lightly blueberry, associated with touches of fleshy strawberry, as well as hints of infusion, bergamot and discreet hints of lilac. The nose is deep, dense, velvety and elegant. On the palate, the wine is well-built, with gourmandise, suppleness, with a tangy frame and a certain darkness in balance. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy wild cassis, dense blueberry and, more lightly, cornflower, combined with touches of lilac, small wild fruits as well as hints of tobacco, camphor, toast, sweet tobacco and a hint of mocha. It also reveals notes of pulpy cassis, small fresh/juicy fruits, associated with touches of plum blossom, mocha as well as fine hints of dry gravel/ iodized gravel and almond/toast. Good length.
