The nose reveals slight notes of crushed cassis, blackberry and touches of strawberry associated with hints of wild black berries as well as discreet woody hints and a very discreet hint of licorice/caramelization (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a slight minerality, fat, a slight tension as well as a slight straightness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, ripe strawberry and slight notes of cassis associated with a discreet hint of blueberry as well as a slight touch of toasted oak, licorice and very slight notes of sweet spices/nutmeg. Tannins are well-built. Good length. There is a very discreet hint of hazelnut on the aftertaste. The persistence is gourmand.
