The wine shows a pale ruby colour. The nose is smoky with a clear evidence of oak ageing, notes of cinnamon and cloves, a touch of nutmeg and cedar wood, with ripe notes of black and red berries in the background. The palate is round and juicy with intense flavour concentration, good freshness and well-managed, fine-grained tannins. The wine offers juicy nuances of ripe raspberries, crushed blackberries and bramble with a touch of smoke and liquorice in the echo. Good persistence with a hint of bitterness on the finish.
