The nose is fruity and offers a certain elegance, gourmandize, a nice fine grain, a powdery side, a certain richness as well as a certain intensity. It reveals notes of bright boysenberry, blueberry and more slightly crushed strawberry associated with fairly small ripe red fruits, cornflower/flowers, zan, fine varietal hints as well as fine notes, hints of tea / bergamot, cinnamon as well as fine cherry tail, saffron (floral side), chocolate and a subtle hint of almond. The palate is fruity, elegant, complex, balanced and offers juiciness, “excellence” in radiance, a fine grain, tension, precision, a multi-layered side, energy, nice acidity, a pretty freshness as well as a stretched side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / luscious blackberry, fresh / juicy raspberry and more slightly bright blueberry associated small crushed red fruits, violet, rose, with hints of cherry blossoms, liquorice / zan as well as a discreet hint of mocha, blond tobacco, a subtle hint of bergamot and toasted almond. Tannins are precise, suave, elegant, stretched and discreetly powdery. Chewiness, sapidity and a nice stretched side at the end of the palate. Presence of flower pistil, graphite on the finish / persistence. An imperceptible hint of vanilla appears after getting aired in the glass. A wine that I would qualify as “the calm strength”!
