The nose is fruity, aromatic, revealing a fine power, some concentration and a fine floral quality. There are notes of boysenberry, strawberry and slightly crushed red currant with hints of blueberry, violet, racy minerality, clay and a subtle, almost minty undertone. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, acidity, minerality, good definition, some power, fine tension and a very fine straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fairly ripe blackcurrant, crushed blackberry and more lightly bright red currant combined with hints of violet, blueberry, hints of crushed red berries and a subtle hint of zan and sour candy. A subtle hint of cocoa bitterness on the finish/persistence. Good length.
