(70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc) The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers accuracy, precision and a tangy side of black fruits. We find aromas of blackcurrant, morello cherry, black plum (with a touch of chocolate prunes), crushed wild strawberry and raspberry coulis, associated with aromas of torrefaction (toasted hazelnut, sweet coffee), sweet spices (nutmeg, liquorice, a touch of vanilla and gray pepper), dried mint, as well as a hint of mineral in the background. The palate has a tight, slightly dry attack, due to the firm tannin structure. In the mid-palate, we find juicy notes of morello cherry, black plum, strawberry, crushed blackcurrant and black plum, associated with a floral (violet, dried cornflower), herbaceous (dried mint), and spicy flavours (liquorice, nutmeg). The finish offers a pleasant chocolate touch, good acidity, a certain gourmandise of fruit, but also the tightness of tannins, which need time to melt.
