CHÂTEAU LEOVILLE POYFERRE 2024 – Saint-Julien, Cru Classé

CHÂTEAU LEOVILLE POYFERRE 2024 – Saint-Julien, Cru Classé

(64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot) The nose is elegant, frank, racy, well-built and offers depth, aromatic, elegant-darkness, a lovely chiselled side, harmonious grain, lovely definition and minerality. Beautifully racy ! There are notes of wild cassis, small concentrated black berries and small notes of infusion, associated with touches of small dense/fairly ripe red berries, hints of cornflower, Bourbon vanilla, as well as a hint of sweet tobacco, a fine hint of cubeb pepper, graphene, toasted hazelnut and a discreet hint of roasted-elegant fruit. The palate is nicely delicate, fresh, mineral, all subtlety and offers delicacy in its depth/intensity, an elegant-darkness, an airy side, a lovely acidulous complexity/multilayered side, a lovely graphene side as well as a lovely textured, silky and delicate touch. Finesse and freshness in its fatness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of violet, cocoa and small notes of small roasted-elegant red fruits, combined with touches of cornflower, tangy cherry, small brilliant black fruits, hints of chocolate, Bourbon vanilla, as well as a hint of cornflower.
