Château Léoville-Barton 2006 – Saint-Julien, 2ème Grand Cru Classé

The nose offers aromatic power, a fine incisive side as well as a fine concentration. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, ripe wild cassis and small notes of fleshy strawberry associated with fine touches of small berries, a hint of violet, slight hints of vanilla flowers, toasted as well as an imperceptible hint of cornflower and pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, an acidulous frame, a beautiful precision, suavity, a fine structure, dynamism, a very fine concentration as well as a beautiful quality and juicy / ripe / fresh and precise fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy strawberry, fleshy raspberry and small notes of crushed cassis associated with fine touches of violet, Bourbon vanilla, toasted and an imperceptible hint of truffle (in the background). Beautiful tannic structure ! Beautiful acidity / freshness !
