Château Léognan 2020, Pessac-Léognan

On the nose fruity, aromatic and offers controlled power, a certain concentration as well as delicacy. It reveals notes of pulpy blackberry ripe blackcurrant and hints of ripe strawberry associated with touches of violet / cornflower, crushed berries and hints of szechuan pepper, pulpy purple plum, fine hints of licorice and a discreet hint of camphor / tonka bean. On the palate, fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, a small tangy structure, tension, concentration as well as a slightly tight tannic structure. The wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy raspberry, small tangy red berries, blackberry, lily as well as hints of graphite, caramelization and toasted almond. Good length and persistence. The tannins offer a little mellowness. A nice stretched side with length on the persistence.
