Château L’Enclos 2018 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity and offers a certain concentration/power. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, wild strawberry, small notes of grey pepper associated with touches of wild violet plum as well as fine hints of liquorice, cornflower, discreet hints of sweet sices, lily and mocha. The palate is fruity, slightly tight, well-balanced and offers concentration, juiciness, minerality, a certain tension as well as an acidulous frame and a focus on the fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of wild blackberry, juicy wild cassis, small notes of wild strawberry associated with touches of cocoa, violet, juicy/fresh plum as well as hints of racy minerality, grey pepper, cocoa/mocha, fine hints of toasted almond, discreet hints of caramelization and coffee. A slightly tight finish.
