Château Le Virou – Le Secret 2022 – laye Côtes-de-Bordeaux

Lovely elegant, precise nose which offers power, a lovely finesse of grain as well as a certain straightness. We find notes of violet, luscious violet plum and slight notes of strawberry associated with pretty touches of minerality, small blue fruits, an almost roasted touch as well as hints of smoke, star anise/sap and a very discreet hint of camphor. The palate offers a very beautiful minerality, freshness, tension, a nice fullness, finesse in its creaminess, an airy side, deliciousness as well as a certain fullness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, crushed blackcurrant and small notes of small creamy blue fruits associated with touches of racy minerality, fresh sap as well as a hint of torrefaction/coffee, graphite as well as ‘with a discreet hint of nutmeg and toasted almond on the finish/persistence. A subtle saline hint on the finish/persistence.
