The nose is nicely fruity and offers a certain concentration, gourmandize as well as a certain pulpiness. The wine benefits from being decanted. It reveals notes of pulpy black cherry, pulpy/quite ripe cassis and small notes of ripe wild strawberry associated with touches of roasted fruit, liquorice as well as hints of violet, blond tobacco, a hint mocha and an imperceptible hint of black pepper. The palate is fruity, juicy, fresh and offers lovely energy, a certain brightness, fruit, roundness, precision as well as a beautiful acidulous structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright cherry and small notes of cassis associated with touches of juicy-roasted red berries, hints of toasted, mocha as well as fine almost balsamic hints, nutmeg and spices. Good length. Chewy/gourmand finish/persistence.
