The nose is fruity, creamy, fresh and offers some concentration and precision. There are notes of black currant liqueur, fairly ripe blueberry and more slightly roasted cherry combined with hints of star anise and limestone/sense of place. The palate is nicely fresh, fruity and offers concentration (but in freshness), depth, a nice richness (in balance) as well as an acidic frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black currant liqueur, crushed blackberry and more slightly violet combined with hints of star anise, chocolate as well as hints of roasted cherry, sweet blond tobacco and a fine touch of vanilla bean. Good length.
