Château Le Rey – Les Rocheuses 2021 – Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux

The nose is fruity, fresh and reveals fine power, definition and finesse. There are notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, zan and more lightly juicy/fresh blue berries combined with fine touches of racy minerality, fresh lily as well as discreet hints of fresh liquorice stick and a fine almost fresh pepper quality. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, juiciness, minerality, good definition, gourmandize, harmony, sapidity, generosity and good purity of fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy cherry, raspberry and slightly juicy/fresh blue fruit juicy/fresh blue fruit with a touch of fresh violets, a subtle hint of fresh/juicy redcurrants and fine hints of hints of star anise and a subtle almost sense of place. A gourmet wine, on the fruit, well managed, in short it is a treat!
