Château Le Rey – Les Argileuses 2020 – Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux 

The nose is fresh, fruity and offers a nice generous fruit and a small flattering side. It reveals notes of bright strawberry, bright cherry, small notes of cassis associated with touches of cherry flower, violet as well as a discreet hint of liquorish stick/Badiane and an imperceptible hint of saline. The mouth is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, a good definition, a certain gourmandize, a small tension, precision as well as a certain generosity and suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy raspberry, bright redcurrant, small notes of fresh blackberry associated with touches of crushed strawberry as well as hints of violet, sweet spices. Good length. The tannins are precise and offer a fine mellow.
