The nose is fruity and offers a beautiful freshness, minerality, elegance as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of blackberry, minerality/gravels (Graves)(terroir) and fresh small wild fruits associated with small touches of fleshy wild strawberry, Cuben pepper, violet, a hint of liquorice and fine hints of spices. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced, tight and offers tension, fat, a bit aerial, a good grain as well as a good freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy cassis and more slightly ripe small red berries associated with fine touches of toasted oak, sweet spices, gravels (Graves), caramelization as well as a very discreet hint of chocolate (in the background). Tannins are well-built.
