The nose benefits from decanting. It reveals notes of blackberry, violet and Sichuan pepper associated with touches of clove. The palate is fruity, fresh, with minerality, a fresh frame, a bit tight at present, tension, a slight fatness, a fine fluidity, nicely touched, with a delicate, enveloping fatness. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, cherry, and small notes of small fresh/bright red berries associated with touches of rose, fresh violet and fine hints of star anise. Good length. Tannins are medium-size and a little chewiness. A hint of cherry stem on the nose, which appears later. Appetizing on the finish offering freshness and harmony with a discreetly tight structure and fine grain.
