(81% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc) The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a lovely finesse in its power, a certain velvety, a peppery side in finesse/accuracy as well as a fine textured. There are notes of pulpy blackberry, small fleshy blue fruits and small notes of pulpy/juicy cherry, associated with hints of cornflower, lilac, fine hints of camphor, as well as discreet hints of fresh almond, Sichuan pepper, a hint of graphene, cocoa nibs and a subtle hint of bergamot. After airing, subtle hints of star anise and cubeb pepper appear. The palate is nicely mineral, fresh and offers good definition, precision, a tangy frame, energy, a lovely racy grain and a certain silkiness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, cassis and small notes of crunchy Quetsche plum, combined with touches of violet, camphor, as well as hints of toasted, toasted almond, fine hints of Timut pepper and a subtle hint of almost blood orange (in the background). The tannins are elegant, silky, finely sappy, saline and fresh. Good length and persistence.
