Château Le Crock 2024 – Saint-Estèphe

The nose is delicate, reserved, with roasted, chocolatey, toasted and spicy notes after opening. We also find fruits (roasted red cherry, chocolate morello cherry, wild strawberry, blackcurrant, fresh morello cherry), roasted herbs, chocolate, toasted wood, a hint of toasted hazelnut, liquorice, vanilla in the background, tonka and nutmeg, wild mint, fragrant flowers (violet, peony, rose) and blackcurrant bud. The palate is airy, juicy, fruity, elegant (roasted red cherry, chocolate morello cherry, wild strawberry, blackcurrant, fresh morello cherry), with a refreshing herbaceous touch (wild mint, blackcurrant bud) and floral notes (violet, peony, rose). The finish is slender, chiseled, and offers tension, expression, and gourmandise (on the flavors of blackcurrant and morello cherry) with a touch of sap, liquorice and toast. Good length, enveloping, round, and flavorful.
