The nose is fruity and offers power, precision, stretch, freshness and a nice fine and intense grain. There are notes of blackcurrant, wild cherry and, to a lesser extent, juicy blueberry, combined with hints of violet, fine pepper and a discreet touch of pepper and vanilla. The palate is fresh, focused, precise, tight and offers a nice minerality, a mineral backbone, an airy side as well as a fine and stretched grain. All in finesse and balance. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, pulpy/juicy blackcurrant and, more slightly, violet, combined with hints of ripe black berries, fine hints of liquorice and a discreet touch of lilac and vanilla. A subtle hint of positive bitterness and salinity in the background.
