Château Le Crock 2017 – Saint-Estèphe

The nose is fruity, juicy, racy and offers concentration as well as a very fine power. It reveals notes of black cherry, cassis and blackberry associated with touches of racy minerality, subtle touches of liquorice as well as a discreet hint of bulb and Sichuan pepper. The palate is juicy, fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, a beautiful acid frame, a very beautiful freshness, a beautiful racy minerality, crunchiness, precision, a very fine unctuosity (in the background) as well as a fine fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, juicy blackberry and more slightly black cherry, blueberry associated with fine touches of liquorice, sweet spices as well as a discreet hint of flowers/bulb (in the background) and an imperceptible hint of almond. Tannins are fine as well as very slightly firm and straight. There is a very discreet hint of toasted bread on the finish/persistence.
