The nose is fruity, a bit powerful and offers intensity and a certain finesse. It reveals notes of black cherry, raspberry and redcurrant combined with touches of toasted oak, wild berries, cardamom / spices as well as hint of gray pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a nice mineral frame, a good definition, freshness, a nice suavity, tension, a slight juiciness as well as a nice grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy strawberry, blackberry and slight notes of cassis associated with a hint of cherry, subtle touches of toasted oak, chocolate and a hint of almond and a subtle touch of gray pepper. Tannins are fine, structuring and very slightly chewy. Good length. There are a hint of chocolate, a hint of caramelized oak and Bourbon vanilla on the persistence.
