The nose is tightly wound and offers a fine concentration as well as a little power. The wine benefits from being decanted. There are notes of lily, blackcurrant and, more slightly, ripe wild berries, combined with hints of toast, chocolate, graphite and fine points of toasted almond. The palate is fruity and offers fat, racy minerality, precision, a certain tension and roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, ripe/juicy wild berries and more slightly ripe raspberry combined with hints of chocolate and a subtle hint of graphite/camphor, grey pepper and fine toasted hints. Good length. A little sapidity on the finish.
