On the nose, offers some intensity, depth, good definition and controlled richness. It reveals notes of pulpy wild blackberry, crushed blackcurrant and more lightly violet associated with touches of crushed strawberry, pulpy black berries as well as zan, violet, toasted notes, discreet hints of fresh almond and a very fine hint of incense (in the background). On the palate, fruity and offers freshness, gourmandise, a mineral/acidic framework, richness as well as good definition, density, straightness and a fine black side. The wine expresses dense/juicy black berry, crushed black currant and lighter cardamom notes with hints of mocha, pulpy/bursting raspberry and hints of violet, toast and a subtle vanilla edge. Good length. The tannins are structuring and finely mellow.
