The nose is racy and offers a certain depth. It expresses notes of crushed blackberry, ripe wild strawberry and more slightly – quite ripe small red fruits associated with fine hints of spices, liquorice, a discreet hint of pepper and almost a very discreet hint of aromatic herbs. The palate is nicely mineral, juicy, fruity, balanced, all in accuracy and control, with sparkle. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy raspberry, juicy/pulpy blackberry and more slightly – bright small red fruits, associated with touches of star anise, nutmeg, as well as fine hints of toast and cardamom. Good length, the tannins are fresh, tasty and mellow. Subtle chew on the finish/persistence.
