Château Latour Martillac 2022 – Pessac-Leognan

The nose is concentrated, with an airy and elegant density. The first nose is chocolatey, with slightly on the tangy touch of cocoa nibs and chocolate with mint. Then, it expresses the aromas of fresh and juicy fruits (morello cherry, bigarreau cherry, cassis, raspberry, tangy strawberry), sweet spices (liquorice, vanilla in the background, hint of nutmeg and white pepper), crushed mint, a touch of red cherry jam and raspberry coulis as well as rosemary, a hint of toasted hazelnut and coffee. The palate is juicy, fresh, enveloping, with an attack on toasted hazelnut, dark chocolate and tangy hint of cocoa nibs. We also find the flavors of morello cherry, bigarreau cherry, cassis, raspberry, strawberry as well as licorice, vanilla and nutmeg. The tannins are finely tight, elegant and sapid. Nice juiciness, tangy fruitiness and a touch of tangy cocoa nibs on the persistence. Nice persistent acidity.
