Château Lascombes – 2ème Grand Cru Classé de Margaux

(50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot) The nose is fine, delicate and elegant. It reveals notes of blackberry, raspberry and strawberry combined with a few touches of cassis, sweet spices and a touch of clove. The palate is fresh, fruity, silky, smooth, mineral, a bit powerful and offers a good concentration, a certain tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe fruit, blackberry, cherry, blueberry and strawberry combined with touches of cassis, red fruit cream, cinnamon, spices, oak and a touch of graphite. Tannins are elegant and slightly firm. Good length and persistence on the palate.
