The nose is elegant, textured and offers depth, intensity and beautiful spicy notes. There are notes of boysenberry, brilliant wild cherry and small notes of flowers/violet, associated with touches of infusion, bergamot, nutmeg, sweet pepper, as well as delicate hints of racy gravel (terroir) and clove. The palate is well-built, fresh, supple, airy, nicely pure/precise and offers energy, a tangy frame, a linear/stretched side in delicacy as well as a nice touch of creamy in finesse/delicacy. Nice sense of detail. An enveloping side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of brilliant cassis, fairly ripe/juicy red cherry and small notes of small red berries, combined with touches of cornflower, as well as a hint of small brilliant blue berries, smoke, tobacco, spices, infusion, tonka bean and a subtle hint of almost vanilla/very discreetly sage. A subtle hint of almost mandarin in the background.
