Château Lascombes 2022 – Margaux, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, deep, with a lovely, elegant darkness/concentration, aromatic and complex. It reveals notes of pulpy strawberry, small brilliant red berries and small notes of morello cherry, as well as fine hints of rhubarb, cherry stone and subtle hints of tonka bean and infusion. The palate is well-built, clear, supple, fresh and elegant, with energy and incisiveness. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, bigarreau cherry, associated with touches of brilliant redcurrant, as well as subtle almost roasted-juicy, subtle hints of cornflower, roast, dark chocolate and fine hints of chew. A wine with a little chewiness and gourmandise. An elegant, aromatic nose. A nicely fresh, pulpy, complex, multi-layered wine. Good length. Well-built with very good persistence and mellowness.
