The nose is elegant, aromatic and reveals some concentration, harmony and a nice fresh fruit and mellowness. There are hints of violet, crushed blackcurrant and more lightly blueberry with hints of strawberry and hints of fleshy red berries, pepper, nutmeg and a subtle hint of smoke and vanilla bean. The palate is fruity, balanced, elegant and reveals minerality, energy, good definition, gourmandize, an acidic backbone, juiciness, roundness, a little unctuousness, a beautiful freshness, a fine “blackness”, good work on the bitter taste as well as some flowery character. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fresh/juicy wild blackberry, fresh violet, fresh lily and, more slightly, pulpy blackcurrant, combined with hints of wild strawberry, fresh/crisp red plum, cocoa, as well as a hint of varietal aromas, fine toastiness, nutmeg and a subtle touch of almond. A very discreet hint of salt in the background. Good length. The tannins are precise and fine.
