Château Lascombes 2011 – Margaux, Grand Cru Classé

Château Lascombes 2011 – Margaux, Grand Cru Classé

The nose offers a small power, a small concentration and a fine grain. This wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of ripe wild blackberry, wild raspberry and small notes of spices associated with fine touches of wild strawberry, cloves and a discreet hint of Cuben pepper/tobacco. The mouth is fruity, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame, a good definition and juiciness. On the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/fleshy blackberry, juicy/fleshy raspberry and small notes of small red fruits (cherry, red berries) associated with touches of violet, rose, minerality as well as hints of camphor, toasted and coves. Good length. A very discreet hint of coffee on the persistence. Tannins are finely marked.
