The nose is toasted and roasted at first (toasted hazelnut, cocoa, roasted herbs) and slightly smoky. Then, it expresses notes of roasted and ripe fruits (juicy morello cherry, roasted red cherry, wild strawberry, crushed cassis, roasted raspberry), aromatic herbs (fresh rosemary, needles, peppermint), a hint of violet and peony. The palate offers juiciness, more fresh fruits than roasted fruits (juicy morello cherry, red cherry, wild strawberry, cassis, roasted raspberry), a pleasant and integrated tangy side of cocoa nibs, a touch of fresh mint and fresh flowers, liquorice, crushed cardamom, a hint of coriander. The tannins are well constructed, solid but fine. Good length and acidity on the gourmandise of chocolate, coffee and the tangy nibs. An airy and accessible wine, well constructed.
