Château Larrivaux 2022 – Haut-Médoc

Château Larrivaux 2022 – Haut-Médoc

The nose is mineral, racy with a certain subtlety in its fruit and grain. There are notes of crushed raspberries, crushed blackcurrants and slight notes of racy minerality associated with a touch of cherry blossom, sweet spices, fresh nutmeg and a slight hint of bergamot as well as an imperceptible almost varietal hint in the background. The palate is fruity with juiciness and a tangy frame with minerality and good definition. There is a certain tension, accuracy, harmony and a nice mineral character. We find notes of juicy and luscious blackberries, violets and slight notes of cornflower associated with touches of bright blue berries as well as hints of bright raspberries and fine notes of bergamot, toast and a hint of nutmeg and grilled. The tannins are frank and finely firm. There is good length, flexibility and definition.
