On the nose there are notes of liquorice, pulpy blackberry, crushed raspberry and more lightly liquorice combined with hints of crushed cherry as well as fine points of nutmeg, sweet spices, a discreet hint of serenity and madagascar pepper. The palate is fruity and reveals minerality, juiciness, some freshness, and finesse. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, fleshy/juicy blackcurrant and more lightly violet combined with hints of lily, crushed raspberry as well as discreet hints of zan, toast, cardamom and a subtle hint of pepper (in the background). Good length. The tannins are discreetly tight. Sapidity on the finish.
