The nose is fruity, well-balanced, elegant, racy and offers a small richness/concentration, a fine intensity, freshness, a small power as well as a fine straightness. It reveals notes of fleshy cassis, fleshy wild blackberry and more slightly ripe small wild berries associated with touches of ripe raspberry, ripe small red fruits, hints of flowers, crushed blueberry, liquorice, a very discreet hint of tonka bean as well as an imperceptible varietal hint and gray pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a mineral frame (racy minerality), a fine grain, a good tannic structure, a small concentration/richness, gourmandize, a very fine straightness, suavity, freshness, tension, sapidity, a beautiful grain, complexity as well as precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy cassis, fleshy ripe blackberry and more slightly crushed strawberry associated with a touch of blueberry /small wild berries, liquorice, tonka bean, flowers, toasted and a very discreet hint of toasted almond on the finish. Tannins are slightly chewy. Good length and good persistence. There is an imperceptible verietal hint/cocoa on the persistence. Fine chew on the finish.
