Château Laroze 2016 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé 

The nose is fruity, fresh, elegant and offers a good definition. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, crushed black berries and small notes of violet, raspberry, crushed cassis, Sichuan pepper, crunchy blueberry / cornflower as well as discreet hints of tonka bean / toasty and cardamom. The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a small suavity, tension, a beautiful finesse of the grain, a beautiful guideline as well as a good definition and racy minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/fresh boysenberries and small black fruits associated with small touches of tonka bean, small toasted touches /cardamom as well as a very discreet hint of sweet blond tobacco and spices. Tannins are elegant, well-built and supple.
