Château Laroque 2021 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Château Laroque 2021 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose offers very nice complexity and aromatic expression. We find notes of blackberry, violet and small  notes of ripe small fruits associated with almost cypress touches, pepper, quite ripe raspberry (almost discreetly roasted), subtle hints of spices, tonka bean, cornflower, sense of place (local biotop) as well as an imperceptible almost iodized hint and infusion. The palate is beautifully fresh, mineral, well-balanced, supple, full and offers an acidulous structure, a melodious side, a nice textured/velvety-fresh side as well as a nice tanginess. A beautiful, precise, straight and tight grain. Full of precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, juicy/fresh blackcurrant and small notes of small, bright red fruits associated with touches of sweet blond tobacco, tonka bean, sweet spices as well as discreet floral hints and with subtle hints of vanilla. Nice fresh, sapid and very discreetly sappy tannins. A beautiful finish, mellow and nicely sapid.
