Château Langoa Barton 2010 – Saint-Julien, Cru Classé

The nose is elegant and offers delicacy, a certain concentration as well as a certain power. It reveals notes of ripe wild blackberry, dry strawberry and small notes of violet associated with touches of quite ripe blueberry, sweet spices, a subtle hint of clove, green cardamom, fine hints of underwood and an imperceptible hint of hazelnut. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, gourmandize, tension, a very beautiful fat as well as fullness, a beautiful finesse of the grain, delicacy (full of justness) and an acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, quite ripe wild strawberry and small notes of juicy/ripe griotte cherry associated with a touch of blueberry as well as hints of dry cornflower, camphor, toasted almond, sweet spices, a subtle hint of underwood, an imperceptible hint of dry vanilla and dry tobacco. Tannins are elegant, racy and structuring. A small suavity and a hint of green cardamom on the persistence.
