The nose is elegant, racy, with intensity, depth and good definition. It reveals notes of pulpy wild cassis, small wild berries and small notes of black pepper, associated with touches of bigarreau cherry and fine, almost licorice-like hints. The palate is well-built, supple, with roundness, a lovely coating fatness that’s both gourmand and precise. It also offers a certain brilliance and brightness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, cassis and small notes of cornflower, combined with touches of juicy/pulpy raspberry, fresh blueberry, as well as fine hints of toasted, discreet chocolate, toasted hazelnut and cherry stem. The tannins are precise, supple and elegant. A subtle iodized, sappy hint on the finish/persistence.
