The nose is racy and offers some concentration, fine grain and depth. It has notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy/crushed berries and, more slightly, strawberry, combined with hints of violet, nutmeg and cherry, as well as fine hints of sweet spices, light tobacco and a delicate touch of cinnamon. The palate is mineral and offers freshness, juiciness, some roundness, volume, finesse, a mineral/fresh backbone, good work notably on the bitter taste and on the use of the varietal palette. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy/chunky blackberry, raspberry and, more slightly, fleshy black berries, combined with a touch of pulpy cherry and hints of chocolate, tonka bean, almond and a subtle hint of nutmeg. The tannins are mellow. Good length. Some chewiness on the finish.
