Château Lamothe-Bergeron 2020 – Haut-Médoc, Cru Bourgeois Supérieur

The nose is elegant and offers a certain richness justly built as well as delicacy. It reveals notes of bright Boysen berry, wild raspberry, small notes of small berries associated with touches of liquorish stick, small bright berries as well as fine hints of nutmeg, cinnamon stick and a very discreet hint of pepper. The mouth is fruity, finely tight and offers minerality, a certain freshness, juiciness, a small tension, a good definition, richness as well as a good tannic frame and a small fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy raspberry, cherry, small notes of wild fleshy strawberry associated with touches of purple bright plum as well as hints of zan, cardamom and a subtle hint of cinnamon stick. Good length and persistence. The tannins are fine and discreetly tight.
