Château Lamothe 2022 – Sauternes, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity and offers a small concentration, a mineral side, a fine airy side as well as a spicy-fresh side. There are notes of fresh kumquat, quince and slight notes of fresh nectarine associated with fine touches of spices, nutmeg, apple blossom and a discreet hint of honey. The palate is nicely juicy, balanced and offers energy, gourmandise, a nice richness and finesse, sapidity, a nice freshness as well as a little creaminess. On the palate this wine expresses notes of vine peach in syrup, mandarin in syrup and more slightly candied lime associated with touches of kumquat as well as fine hints of pear blossom as well as a discreet hint of pepper and spices. Good length.
