The nose is elegant and offers power, concentration as well as harmony, a fine grain and density. It reveals notes of cassis, crushed raspberry and small notes of pulpy blue plum associated with touches of black cherry, cornflower as well as hints of nutmeg, caramelization, lily, a discreet hint of Badiane and a very discreet hint of vanilla pod. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, slightly tight and offers minerality, freshness, a fine acidulous frame, a fine freshness, tension as well as density and fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright cassis, crushed/pulpy black cherry and small notes of bourbon vanilla associated with touches of small pulpy blue fruits, raspberry as well as hints of chocolate, mild tobacco, subtle hints of liquorice, Badiane and an imperceptible hint of saffron (in the background). Tannins are precise, racy and straight. Good length and a beautiful persistence.
