The nose is elegant, complex and slightly more austere than the 2008 vintage. It reveals fruity notes (red fruits) associated with a few spicy notes. The palate is silky, balanced, dense, “typical”, tight and gourmand. In the mouth it expresses notes of ripe black fruit (blackberry, plum), creme de cassis, cherry and raspberry combined with a few spicy notes, a touch of chocolate, a touch of licorice as well as a well-integrated woody notes. Tannins are well made and melted. Good length and aftertaste.
