Château Laforge 2022 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru

A lovely spicy nose, which offers controlled power, a powdery and fine airy grain. It expresses notes of violet, pulpy/fresh blackcurrant and more slightly – fresh violet plum associated with touches of cornflower, cubeb pepper, black tea and has fine hints of spices. The palate is nicely structured and offers freshness, tension, accuracy, a fresh tangy structure, good definition, a certain gourmandise and a lovely freshness, a little richness in freshness and balance. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy/juicy purple plum, and more slightly pulpy/fresh raspberry, as well as hints of small, bright black fruits and a subtle hint of roast and star anise, almost sappy and fresh in bottom.
