The nose offers concentration and good definition. The wine benefits from being decanted. There are notes of ripe wild blackcurrant, fresh lily and more slightly Cuben pepper combined with delicate hints of crushed berries, zan and a subtle hint of nutmeg and almost incense. The palate is mineral and offers freshness, some fat and a mineral backbone. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, fleshy/juicy red berries and more slightly violet combined with hints of lily, Cuben pepper, fine hints of liquorice stick and a discreet varietal hint, nuances of rose, chocolate and vanilla. The tannins are precise and mellow. Good length. Good work on the bitter taste, especially on the finish.
