Château Lafon-Rochet 2022 – Saint Estèphe Grand Cru Classé

A lovely elegant, spicy, fresh nose, which offers delicacy and depth. It expresses notes of violet, luscious violet plum, crushed blackcurrant and more slightly – racy minerality as well as a hint of crushed wild strawberry, almost noble varietal and a hint of blond tobacco. The palate is fruity, fresh, nicely mineral, tense, precise and offers gourmandise, roundness, a nice fresh and round mid-palate. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, juicy/fresh blackberry and more slightly – violet associated with touches of bright small fruits, pulpy/fresh violet plum as well as hints of dark chocolate, toasted, nutmeg and a hint of cardamom and roasted hazelnut. The tannins are soft and elegant.
