Château Lafon Rochet 2014 – Saint-Estèphe, 4ème Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, elegant, racy, fine and powerful. It reveals notes of redcurrant, racy minerality and a touch of blackberry, graphite combined with a touch of black cherry / wild berries, slight spicy notes as well as a touch of Cuben pepper and a discreet hint of licorice. The mouth is fruity, fluid, silky, mineral and offers a nice matter, a fine freshness, a nice acid frame and a beautiful fruit. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of cherry, red berries and fine notes of juicy blackberries combined with a hint of plum, discreet woody touches, discreet grilled hints as well as a hint of graphite and slight / discreet touches of licorice.
